Nubia Z20 Launched With Dual Screen Screen, 30 Times Digital Zoom And More

Nubia has announced the Z20 in China, the company's latest flagship smartphone with a dual screen. The Nubia smartphone comes with a 6.42-inch+ FHD (1080x2340) AMOLED display with a very slim bezels and no front camera. There's also a secondary 5.1-inch HD+ (720x1520) AMOLED screen display at the back of the device that blends into the phones glass body.

There is DC dimming support to deliver an enhanced graphics experience out-of-the-box, and the new AOD 2.0 supports information display with customizable text, graphics, GIF, video and more on both screens. The dual-display screen can also be optimised to get four-finger operations while playing games.


Powering the device is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC along with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 512B of UFS 3.0 storage. The device runs on Android 9 and there are fingerprint sensors on both sides so that it works when you use the phone both sides.

In the camera department, the device comes with a triple rear camera setup that includes a 48MP primary sensor, a 16MP secondary sensor with a wide-angle 122.2 degree lens and an 8MP tertiary sensor with a telephoto lens. The camera is said to provide 3x lossless zoom and 30x digital zoom.

Since there's no presence of a front facing selfie camera, the rear cameras make up for it. Users will have to use the secondary display to take selfies.

The device packs a 4,000mAh battery that supports 27W fast charge via PD or Qualcomm's Quick Charge 4.0 tech. There's also an in-display fingerprint sensor on both the front and back display of the Nubia Z20.

Other information includes a 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C port, weights 186g and has a dimension of 158.63x75x26.9mm. There's an accelerator, ambient light, magnetometer and a  pressure sensor.

The Nubia Z20 will be available in Black, Blue and Red colours and will be priced at 3299 yuan ($496) for the 6/128GB, 3699 yuan ($524) for the 8/128GB and 4199 yuan ($595) for the 8/512GB.

The device goes on sale in China from August 16th.
