PUBG Update 4.2 Brings Dynamic Weather, Survivor Pass 4: Aftermath, More For PS4 And Xbox



The PUBG team has rolled out a new update in the form of version 4.2 to console players, bringing a new Survivor Pass (Survivor Pass 4), number of improvements and new features.

The new update brings dynamic weather on Erangel as well as several visual upgrades, reduced ambient wind noise on Vikendi, more destructible objects on Erangel, vehicle changes and more.

"Update 4.2 brings consoles closer than ever with out PC counterpart, with all new content including the Erangel Visual Update, extensive weapon & vehicle rebalancing, various bug fixes, and more," PUBG noted in the blog post.

Console players seems to get attention in the update gap between PC and console. The PUBG team also reduced the pass duration to 8 weeks instead of 12 weeks.


For Erangel, visual upgrades has been added to locations such as Mylta Power, Quarry, Millitary base, Mansion, and prison. Also, users will now get destructible pylons and barricades which can be destroyed by vehicles, weapons and explosions.

The update also comes with a new survivor pass: Survivor Pass: Aftermath - for console gamers. The new pass comes with a new cooperative mission where players can work together to complete mission goals and rewards. There are over 100 rewards that users can unlock by completing several missions and leveling up their pass.

Season 3 of Survival Title system will be skipped for Season 4 Preseason which will be available for 1 month.

"We are skipping Season 3 of Survival Title System and jumping right into Season 4 Preseason. We want to assure you that Season 2 rewards for console were identical to the Season 3 rewards from PC, so there are no rewards that have been left out from what was available on PC," PUBG blog read.

In addition, PUBG will be giving out 1,000 to all players who will play and achieve above 2,000 SP during Season 4 Preseason. With this, console users will equally be benefiting the same rewards available on PC.
