Typo error is one of the most common mistakes smartphone users make everyday. These mistakes are common, and the down side of it is that once you've sent a message via text, on social media or via other platform, you can't edit the message.

To kill the frustration that arises when users make mistake when messaging, some social media apps and sites now give users the option to edit already sent messages. However, edited messages are either indicated or marked so as to tell the receiver that the message has been edited by the sender.

Free messaging and calling app, Viber has also dropped the much awaited update its users have been waiting for. Though makers of the audio and video calling application on October 9 said that they were going to drop the update that same day, the update didn't but came out this week.

To edit on the Viber application is no different from other social media apps. The user is to long press the message that you want to correct, tap edit, and then make your changes and you are done.

As it is on other social media apps, the message will show an indicator to let the receiver know that the message has been edited. Also, the time stamp will change to reflect when the edit was made.

According to Viber's Changelog on the Play Google Store, the new update allow users edit already sent messages and as well a new improved way to share Viber screenshots with contacts.

The update also contained performance improvements and bug fixes for a better Viber experience.

Viber is available for download for Windows, Android, Mac and iOS. Click here to download for the any of the mentioned platform.
