Telegram messenger has rolled out a new update, bringing new animated emojis, slow mode, several features that reduces the noise, accent colours for Night Mode on iOS, and more.
The Telegram v5.10 update brings a new feature called the Silent Messages feature to aid users in sending silent messages without disturbing that friend who is "sleeping, studying or attending a meeting."

To send a message or media to another Telegram user without any sound, you will long press the send button. The message will appear as a notification on the recipient's phone but won't make any sound even if they didn't enable Do Not Disturb mode. This also works in group chats.
Another feature that came with this update is Slow Mode. This feature makes conversation in a group more orderly by limiting how often group members can send a message.
"When an admin enables Slow Mode in a group, you will only be able to send one message per interval they choose. A timer will show how long you have to wait before sending your next message," the note on Telegram read.
