After bringing this feature on to iOS platform for almost a year, WhatsApp has finally brought the Picture-in-Picture mode for Android users.

The Picture-in-Picture mode is a feature that allows WhatsApp users to play videos from YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and Streamable directly from their WhatsApp application.

Whenever a user gets a link to a video during a chat, the user won't have to exit the (redirect to an external website) to watch the video, but instead will watch the video while still chatting.

WhatsApp began to work on the Picture-in-Picture mode on Android two months ago on the beta WhatsApp app which also had other experimental features.

The PiP feature is a very nice feature that makes things easy for users, and we can't help but wonder why it took WhatsApp almost a year to port the feature on to their app for Android after doing that for iOS users.
