The time is drawing close. In September 2018, search engine giant Google announced that they were going to kill Inbox by Gmail by the end of March....ohh, it's March already, and the time is not far from us.

Google has already began to show alerts for users of the app, warning them that the app will be going away in 15 days, which is April 2nd, 2019. Now that is 2 days extra to the initial date Google announced last year.

The Inbox by Gmail app came with features that allowed users to snooze emails for later, Al-powered experiences such as Smart reply, Nudges and high-priority notifications and more.

While Google has decided to shutdown the Inbox by Gmail app after 4 years of launch, features from Inbox by Gmail such as Snoozing, nudges, e.t.c, have been migrated to the flagship Gmail app.

In a blog statement, Google said:

"Four years after launching Inbox in 2014, we've learned a lot about how to make email better - and we've taken popular Inbox experiences and added them into Gmail to help more than a billion people get more done with their emails every day. As we look to the future, we want to take a more focused approach that will help us bring the best email experience to everyone. As a result, we're planning to solely focus on Gmail and end support for Inbox by Gmail at the end of March 2019."

Google this month killed Allo and will shut down its URL shortener goo.gl later this month. Google+ and Inbox by Gmail will also be killed on April 2, 2019.
