Facebook's Newly Launched Birthday Stories Allows You To Add Cards, Photos, And Videos

To help its user connect and celebrate special moments such as birthdays, Facebook has launched a new feature on its Stories feature that allows users to add digital birthday cards, photos or videos to a story celebrating birthdays of their loved ones.

"Today, we're launching birthdays stories globally - a way for friends, family and everyone in your community to add digital birthday cards, photos or videos to a story celebrating your big day," Facebook's Product Manager, Jehan Damji said in a blog post.

The social giant says that about 500 million people uses the Facebook Stories feature everyday. With the launch of the Birthday Stories, Facebook hope to create " a happy birthday message that's visual, memorable, interactive and fun" to everyone users of the platform care about, not minding the where they are on earth.

To use this feature, the Facebook user is to tap on the birthday notification, shoot or upload a photo or short video or use one of Facebook's digital birthday cards to instantly get a birthday wish.

Facebook says that users can also add a music sticker to give the story a 'Happy Birthday' soundtrack which is then automatically added to the celebrants story.

"You can even add a music sticker to give your story a 'Happy Birthday' soundtrack," Facebook said. "Then your wishes gets added to your friend's birthday story, creating a personalized slideshow for them."
