Opera has announced it is releasing the "world's first gaming browser," a new version of Opera browser that let users to set limits on how much RAM and CPU usage the browser will consume.

The new browser called Opera GX, allows users to customize and set limits on CPU and RAM usage which the browser is  to use so as to give users the most out of gaming and browsing. The need for this kind of browser comes as browsers such as Chrome are known for eating much system resources.

Opera GX comes with a feature called GX Control. This feature has both the RAM limiter and CPU limiter to aid users in controlling much resources that the browser will use.

The RAM limiter lets users to decide how much memory that the Opera GX browser is to use. The user can also leave the default settings for the RAM limiter to strike a balance between memory use and experience.

However, if the user wants to be very strict and not allow "the memory go slightly over the set limit," the user can use the 'Hard Limit' feature to force the browser to stay under the chosen memory.

Opera notes that "the browser will not any reason exceed the selected memory cap, even if browsing experience has to be sacrificed."

The CPU limiter is also similar to the RAM Limiter. This feature also allow users to decide how much browsing power that they will want to allocate to the browser.

"The CPU Limiter lets you put a cap on how much of your computer's processing the browser uses, so the rest can be reserved for gaming," Opera said. "The goal of both GX Control features is to enable you to always be able to keep your browser open, even if you're playing or streaming a resource-heavy game."

Opera GX comes with a Twitch integration in the sidebar for gamers to easily see the latest happenings on channels that they are following, never miss a live stream and as well receive notifications.
