IT Guy Bags Jail Sentence For Hacking And Deleting Former Employers Company's Website

A US man has bagged 27 month in federal prison for hacking into the computer system of his former and then deleting its website and marketing material.

According to the Los Angeles US attorney's office, Nikishna Polequaptewa from Arizona, was sentenced on Monday and ordered to pay $53,305 in restitution to his former California employer, Blue Stone Strategy Group, A Native American consulting agency.

Polequaptewa was employed at Blue Stone Group in April 2014 but was later relieved of IT and marketing duties after falling behind on work.

An Angry Polequaptewa decided to hit back at the company by deleting its website and marketing materials. The company spent over $50,000 to restore it system.

During a court trial in November 2018, the jury found him guilty of one count of unauthorized impairment of the integrity and availability of data, programs, systems, and information.
