Popular business and employment-oriented service LinkedIn has crossed 500 million installation on the Google Play Store.

The American service helps those looking for job by allowing them to build a professional profile, and as well, it also helps forge connections with other professionals and companies as well.

Apart from installs from the Play Store. LinkedIn, just like other popular apps on the Play Store that has achieved this feat, also do come pre-installed on some Android devices. Since each activation on these devices are recorded as an installation, hence the 500 million figure.

Though this feat is huge for it, i long expected LinkedIn to have achieved it. However, this may be partly due to their Android app which has many issues and limitations.

If you go though their Play Store review, you will see a lot of users complain that they can't upload their photo or update their information. Some complain that they can't upload any file extension in format such as pdf as it is on the web, but only jpeg and png.
