Encrypted messaging app Telegram has acquired Challegram, and renamed it to Telegram X.
Challegram, before it was acquired by Telegram was an alternative client to Telegram messaging app which was smoother and faster than the original Telegram messaging application. The app has all the basic functionality of the original Telegram app but also has a few experimental features too.
The Challegram app ..erm Telegram X has some really experimental features that may or may not surface on the main Telegram app. For example, you can long-press on the conversations so you can get a pop-up preview in case you don't want to open them. Or you can also configure the text size, for those who may want to increase or decrease the font size. Users also get mode too.
The original Challegram app was based on the open TDLib (Telegram Database Library) programs which other third-party clients also use. However, the Telegram dev team must have seen something special about this client before acquiring it.
For now, we don't know if this Telegram X app would replace the original Telegram app in the future given its better look and experimental features.
