Nintendo has announced that its next mobile game Dr. Mario World will arrive on Android and iOS on July 14 and will be free to play.

The mobile game which is up for pre-registration on the Google Play Store and on App Store, is a match-3 puzzle type of game where players must match coloured capsules with viruses to clear them.

The player will have to match three objects of the same colour vertically or horizontally to clear them. There is a limited number of capsules which the player must use to clear each puzzle configuration of viruses.

"Match capsules with viruses and watch them disappear! Simply match three objects of the same color vertically or horizontally to clear them," Nintendo said.

"Take your time, because each puzzling stage's configuration of viruses must be cleared using a limited number of capsules."

There are touch-friendly controls in the game, an in-game currency that can be purchased with real-world currency and different character unlocks.

All the different characters in the Mushroom kingdom all have different special abilities that will be of use to the player during sticky situations. The characters include Dr. Peach, Dr. Bower, and assistants like Goomba, Koop Troopa, and Buzzy Beetle.

The Japanese says that the game will feature hundreds of stages over many different worlds, and also that players will be able to play together with friends and family, or even in a versus mode where "you can challenge others to a one-on-one showdown."

You can pre-register for Dr. Mario World for Android on Google Plsy Store and Apple on the Play Store.
