Motorola has released another smartphone in the Moto G8 series called the Moto G8 Power Lite. The device sports a MediaTek Helio P35 SoC along 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage which can be expanded via microSD to support up to 256GB.

There's a 6.5-inch 729x1600 pixel LCD notched display on the device. Within the notch is an 8MP front camera, while at the rear is a triple camera setup; 16MP (f/2.0, 1.0um) PDAF, 2MP (f/2.4, 1.75um) Macro and a 2MP (f/2.4, 1.7um) depth camera.

The device comes with a 5,000mAh battery capacity which Motorola boasts will carry the user more than two days without having to stop and recharge, "stream music for 100 hours or watch the latest shows and movies for 19 hours".

Another feature includes a disappointing microUSB port which Motorola decided to put on the Moto G8 Power Lite despite the rest of the Moto G8 series offering a USB Type-C charging port. The charging port comes with a 10W rapid charge.

There's an Android 9 Pie on board the device which makes me wonder what happened to Android 10 even though it was released almost 7 months ago. Motorola hasn't guaranteed users of an update to Android 10 either.

The Moto G8 Power lite will be available in Royal Blue and Arctic Blue colours. Motorola says the device will be available come April 15th in "selected countries in Europe, Latin America, Asia, and Australia." The device will be sold in the UK for £149.99
