Samsung Galaxy A42 5G With Super AMOLED Display, Quad Rear Camera Setup Launched

Samsung last week unveiled the Galaxy A42 5G at its 'Life Unstoppable' virtual event. T Samsung device comes with a notch display, slim bezels, quad-rear camera setup and is expected to be the cheapest 5G smartphone from the South Korean tech giant.

The Samsung Galaxy A42 5G is a supposed successor to the Galaxy A41 that was launched March this year. The designs of the two phones are quite similar. However, Samsung didn't reveal much about the new device, but here's what we know.

The Samsung Galaxy A42 5G sports a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED notch display. The device is expected to come with a full-HD+ display and will feature some sort of fast charging and 5,000mAh battery capacity.

In the optics department, there is a quad rear camera setup that includes a main 48MP, 8MP (ultra-wide angle?), 5MP and 5MP camera whose function isn't know for now. While the notch houses a 20MP selfie camera. The Samsung Galaxy A42 5G has a blue to gray gradient pattern on its back. 

Samsung didn't share any word on the pricing or availability. However, the device is expected to be priced lower than the current 5G phone from Samsung, the Samsung Galaxy A51 5G, that was launched at $499.99.
