HMD Global yesterday released a budget friendly entry level device that comes with some pretty low-end specs called the Nokia 1.4.

The Nokia 1.4 comes with a 6.5-inch HD+ notched display, slim bezels, a thick chin that houses the Nokia logo.

Sticking to its tradition, the Nokia 1.4 will ship with stock Android 10 (Go) straight out of the box and will have access to Google's entire range of Go-branded applications.

Powering the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 215 which shouldn't have performance issues given that it will be running on stock Android 10 (Go version).

The device will come in three models; 1GB RAM / 16GB internal storage, 2 / 32GB and 3/64GB internal storage. All models supports microSD card that can accommodate up to 128GB.

In the camera department, the Nokia 1.4 sports a rear dual-camera setup, a first to be seen on a phone in the Nokia 1 series. There's an 8-megapixel main camera sensor and a 2-megapixel macro camera sensor for close-up photos, and a 5MPselfie camera.

The app also comes with Google's Camera Go app which comes with features such as Portrait Mode and Night Sight usually found on premium Android devices.

Other features include a 4,00mAh battery that charges via microUSB port, a dedicated Google Assistant button, a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and a headphone jack.

Users are assured of three years of security update and an update to Android 11 (with no idea if it will eventually get Android 12 update).

The device will come in three colours; Fjord, Charcoal and Dusk, and will retail at £89 in the UK and $99 in the US.
