WhatsApp, Facebook And Instagram Are Down Worldwide

Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram are down worldwide and users are pouring out their frustrations and anger on Twitter. 

Users on WhatsApp can't send media files, chat, or see their chats last seen status. The same goes for Messenger, while those on Facebook are either kicked out and can't log in, or are met with a blank screen when they try to refresh their newsfeed.

Downdetector shows the social media giant alongside its family apps are down in the US, Africa, Europe, and other parts of the world, with over 120,000 complaints laid on the site.

To make things complicated, Facebook's status page where messages on issues are being relayed isn't loading. However, the social giant has acknowledged the issue on Twitter and assures users that they working to fix it.

"We're aware that some people are having trouble accessing our apps and products. We're working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience," Facebook said on Twitter.

As of the time of this report, users on Facebook Web, Facebook desktop, Facebook for Android, and Facebook for iOS are all affected. The same goes for WhatsApp and Instagram on those platforms
