Apple made a lot of announcements at it's WWDC 2023 developer event, and Apple enthusiasts look forward to the highly anticipated release of WatchOS 10. So what are the new features, enhancements, and release date?

Release Date of WatchOS 10

Apple has established a consistent pattern for releasing new versions of WatchOS. Similar to previous releases since watchOS 2, it is expected to launch in the second or third week of September. WatchOS 10 is scheduled to debut in the fall of 2023.

  • NameDrop: Sharing contact information becomes effortless by simply bringing the Apple Watch close to another person's iPhone or watch.

Specs and Hardware Compatibility for WatchOS 10

Apple gradually phases out support for older Apple Watch models as new versions of watchOS are released. Devices that do not support watchOS 10 will not be able to utilize the new firmware. Typically, Apple supports Apple Watches with updates for approximately five years. Therefore, it is expected that the following models will be compatible with the latest firmware:
