Popular social messaging service WhatsApp is getting a redesigned section to send audio files to contacts.

The new feature gives users the ability to add up to 30 audio files at once which is a great upgrade for users, considering the fact that the app currently allows users to send just a single video at a time.

According to WABetaInfo, the new update which is available on WhtasApp beta v2.19.1 also supports the preview of up to 30 audio and images. WhatsApp currently allow users to preview audio file(s) by playing the file once it's been tapped upon.

However, the new update (might) allow users to play or pause audio files by tapping the next button next to them. Another thing we suspect is that the update will also allow the preview of album art associated with the listed audio files.

Though WABetaInfo notes that this feature will be available in the future, the update will boost much file sharing among users of the platform when it eventually goes live. In another way, retaining her users from migrating rival Telegram.

Last month, WhatsApp rolled out the much awaited picture-in-picture mode for the Android version of the app, after enabling this feature on the iOS version of WhatsApp for almost a year.

For those unfamiliar with the picture-in-picture mode feature, it is a feature that let users to videos from YouTube, Instagram and Facebook in a small windows while they continue to do chat on WhatsApp. The feature solves the issue of users having to exit the app to watch videos on those platforms mentioned.
