Last week we made a post in which we hinted that the Nokia X71 might be launched today, the 2nd of  April. Well, HMD Global has launched the device which is the first of the Nokia brand to come with a punch hole display and 48MP sensor.

The new Nokia X71 is a mid-range device that HMD Global launched today in Taiwan for the Asian market. The device comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, 6GB RAM, 128GB internal storage which can be expanded via microSD to accommodate up to 256GB.

Fueling the device is a 3,500mAh which expected to serve well based on the processor. There's a rear mounted finger print scanner and as well as a triple-rear camera setup.

Now, the main attraction here is the camera punch hole, an almost bazel-free display and the 48MP camera sensor which is appearing for the first time on any Android powered Nokia device.

The triple rear cameras include a 48MP which is the main sensor, a secondary 120-degree ultra-wide angle lens and depth sensors. The front display which is 6.39 inches when measures diagonally has the punch-hole which houses a 16MP selfie sensor.

For now, we don't know if the Nokia X71 will be released for the European or US markets as HMD Global has for the Asian.

Sales for the Nokia X71 will begin on April 10, and the device will be priced around 11,900 NT$ which is around $385.
