Donald Trump's Official App Has Been Kicked From The Google Play Store

Google has kicked the Official Trump 2020 App from the Play Store after the app ceased working properly and wouldn't be updated by the developers.

According to Androidpolice, the app stopped working correctly and wouldn't load content, as it either kept reporting a network error or wouldn't stop spinning a loading "T" circle.

The Trump 2020 app was created in 2016, where former U.S president Donald Trump first used it for the presidential campaign. With the app, users were able to register for Trump rallies, check into events, contribute financially, earn rewards, and as well keep up to date with campaign news.

The app received a few updates while Trump was in office, and was later refreshed for the 2020 election.

As per Google's explanation, the stopped working correctly, and after multiple attempts to contact the developer to fix the issues, Google eventually pulled the app from the Play Store.

"The Trump 2020 campaign app recently stopped working and we reached out to the developer multiple times in an attempt to get them to address the issue," a statement from Google read. "People expect that apps downloaded from Google Play provide a minimum level of functionality and our policy is to remove non-working apps from the store if they are not fixed."
