Facebook Is Down Worldwide And Users Are Going Crazy

Social media giant Facebook seems to be having multiple issues and users are not finding it funny. Facebook is down for some people, with most not able to view photos on their timeline and some photos not being clickable at all.

Two Techfoe readers reached out to me on Telegram that they couldn't post videos or photos, or that whenever they managed to make the post, it would still disappear. I told them to use a VPN to fix the issue with hopes that it would be associated with servers in their regions but it didn't.

One hour later, I got even more complaints from different users and so i checked my Facebook and saw something similar. Most photos on my newsfeed and timeline weren't loading. What I got was a white blank screen even when I refreshed it multiple times.

A trip to Downdetector at first didn't show signs of any issue with the social giant though the comment section was being flooded with complaints. A few minutes later, Downdetectors outage map for Facebook shows more users are being impacted worldwide.

Facebook status page says the social network "service is up and running with no known issues." Users on Facebook Web, Facebook desktop, Facebook for Android, and Facebook for iOS are all affected as at the time of this write-up.

Some users report being logged out of their accounts and can't log back in. Some even complain that Facebook says their password is incorrect. However, when they try to reset the password, the link Facebook sends to their registered email address for recovery doesn't get delivered.
