YouTube Originals content will be made available for free of charge, the
company’s Chief Business Officer, Robert Kyncl said.

only. However, the media streaming company will make it available for free with
ad-support though we do not know when the change will take effect.

While speaking at the annual advertiser-focused Brandcast event, the CBO
said that all Originals will have an ad-supported option for users to decide.
This means YouTube won’t abandon paid subscription either, but will let you
decide for yourself the one that suites you best.
“While every other media company is
racing to put their content behind paywall, we’re headed in the opposite
direction by making our original content available for free,” Kyncl said.
Addressing the issue of misinformation and hate speech on YouTube, Company
CEO Susan Wojcicki said, “I recognize
that there is still work to be done, but we’re committed to getting this right,”
she said, pointing out that millions of offending videos are removed, with the
majority of which “have not received a
single view.”
