GBWhatsApp Shuts Down Permanently For Good

Popular third-party WhatsApp client GBWhatsApp has completely shutdown operation and won't be rolling out any new updates to the WhatsApp client.

For some months now, WhatsApp has been cracking down on third-party apps. The Facebook owned company has been dishing out ban to people that were using third-party client other than the original WhatsApp app. However, these third party apps have always been coming out with means of bypassing the ban.

GBWhatsApp works same as WhatsApp does but has so many features unresistable features that places it ahead of the main WhatsApp app.


With GBWhatsApp, the user will be able to mask the last seen date, hide online status, view other WhatsApp users status without them knowing, and many other features. Users could also customize the WhatsApp client according to their taste, change fonts, use dark theme as well as perform other actions.

According to a note it posted on its Telegram channel titled "GBWhatsapp Shuts Down", GBMods, makers of GBWhatsApp noted that they were completely stopping the development of GBWhatsApp and that there would be no further update.

"We are really sorry to announce that we have completely stopped the development of GBWhatsApp. It was a great time with all you people. Sorry for the Inconvenience. Hence we have Closed all the Site, Social Accounts and Everything. There will be no further Development," GBMods said.

GBMods also drop a similar note on Twitter announcing the end to the development of the WhatsApp client.

GBWhatsApp rose to popularity when another WhatsAp third-party client called WhatsApp+ was shut down due to the violation of the company's policy. The developers behind GBWhatsApp are said to be the same people who developed WhatsApp+ and GBWhatsApp 3.

With the last version of GBWhatsApp to expire at the end of August, the WhatsApp client should finally rest for for good.
