A 20-year-old Indian girl is said to have committed suicide after her boyfriend blocked her on WhatsApp over an argument.
The deceased, Pranali Lokare, hanged herself at her boyfriend's house and was found the following morning.
According to a police official, "The deceased and her 27-year-old boyfriend knew each other for the last six months. On Sunday night(that fateful night), both of them attended someone's wedding, following which the woman insisted that she wanted to stay at his place overnight. However, he did not entertain her demand and asked her to go home."

The young lady left, but later called the boyfriend and insisted she wanted to comeover to his place. The boyfriend refused and advised her against coming to his place, saying that several drug addicts do roam the locality at night, but he later blocked her on WhatsApp when she kept persisting.
The police added that the lady came back to the house and questioned him for blocking her on WhatsApp. Though she stayed the night at his place, she allegedly used her dupatta to hang herself from the ceiling during the night.
The boyfriend woke up in the morning and found her hanging from the ceiling. The Borivali unit of the Goverment Railway Police (GRP) registered an accidental death report (ADR), since no suicde note was found at the scene.
